Randy Wells Long Lost Brother?
We got to bear witness today to another strong outing today by Cubs newcomer Randy Wells. He battled the Houston Astros today and had it not been for that wonderful group of men down the left field line who claim to be big league relievers (Marmol not withstanding) he would have ended up with this first big league win. Either way Wells has been quite impressive to start and what is not to like about the guy? He is an Illinois guy, rocks the half beard and has really good movement on his fastball, which I am a huge fan of. Here is how Wells fared today:
P H R ER BB SO HR ERA
6.0 4 0 0 3 4 0 0.00
This is the second time I’ve seen Wells pitch and as impressive as he as been the only thing I can think about is how much he resembles Cardinals starter Chris Carpenter. As a Cub fan I can only hope these two were separated at birth and the Wells will provide along the same talent that Carpenter brings to the hill every fifth day (well that is when he is not hanging out on the DL – sorry Cardinal fans had to take a shot).

The Best Dance You Aren’t Doing
If you aren’t doing the Stanky Leg yet you really need to start.
